Pet Events Singapore: The Complete Oct 2026 Pawrent's Calendar

September gave us ten events spread across four weekends, with a Suntec pile-up on the 18th–20th. October flips that completely: just five confirmed listings, the quietest month we've tracked so far, but one of them eats up half the calendar on its own.

That's not a complaint. It means less FOMO-scrolling and more "just go to the one thing." Below is an honest read on who each event actually suits, plus where we flagged a listing that's more restricted than it first looks.

A dedicated dog run, free pet health checks, treats, tree planting, and games — organised as a neighbourhood gathering rather than a brand activation.

This is the "nothing to prove" event of the month. There's no ticketing, no marketplace to fight through, just a low-key evening for dogs that do better with fewer strangers and less noise. If your dog's first instinct at a big expo is to hide behind your legs, start here instead of the Dog Festival two weeks later.

2. THE BIRTHDAY EDIT

Altoff and Inu Studios' first-anniversary mini fair — ten independent brands, new launches, and a lucky draw, all indoors.

It's small by design; ten brands isn't a day out on its own, but it's a smart midday stop if you're already in the area. Indoor and air-conditioned means this is the one October event where the weather genuinely doesn't matter, which is worth something given how the month's afternoon showers have been landing lately.

3. Fur-tastic Cats & Dogs Gathering

Where: Jurong West Park
When: 10 Oct, 4:30pm–7:30pm
Admission: S$5 per pet (people don't need a ticket, only pets require tickets, register here)

Run by Nanyang Community Club: a scavenger hunt, lucky draw, and a $5 ticket that gets your pet a hotdog, ice-cream, and a bottle of water. Genuinely the most multi-species-friendly listing this month; it's one of the only two events here that explicitly welcomes cats, not just dogs.

4. Singapore Dog Festival 2026 — this month's whole personality

Access isn't one flat rule, so read this part twice before you go:

• 16 Oct (opening day, 3–9pm): media, Income policyholders, and Sentosa Islanders only — not open to the general public
• Mon–Thu from 19 Oct (4–9pm): free, open to everyone
• 17–18 Oct, 23–25 Oct, 30 Oct–1 Nov (3–9pm): full festival days, ticket required

This is now in its third edition, run by Atomic Events (the same team behind Asia Cat Expo and Singapore Cat Festival), and it's the reason October only needed five listings instead of fifteen: it single-handedly covers two and a half weeks. Dogs don't need a ticket, there's a marketplace, dog parades, photospots, and dedicated pet first-aid points on-site.

The honest read: go on a weekday, not a ticketed weekend. Free entry, presumably thinner crowds and you skip the queue logic entirely. If you can only make a weekend, go early rather than at golden hour, since everyone else has the same "cooler in the evening" instinct and the site is fully outdoors on Sentosa sand and grass, no real shade once the sun starts dropping.

Since every session runs into the evening, this is the one event all month where a leash you can actually see matters. Halloween-costumed yoga with your dog, plus a Best Dressed contest and an attempt at a Singapore Book of Records entry.

Bring your own mat, mats aren't supplied and a water bottle for after. If your dog tends to mark indoors when excited, a diaper for the session is the organiser's own suggestion, not ours, but a fair one for an indoor yoga floor full of strangers' dogs.

Note: this is explicitly restricted to Punggol Coast residents. It's genuinely charming, but don't build a Halloween plan around it if you're not in the ward.

Final Advice

• The Dog Festival is the only thing that needs real planning. Everything else this month is a single afternoon; this one spans weeks with shifting access rules, so screenshot the day-by-day schedule before you go, not after you've already made the Sentosa trip.
• Weekdays beat weekends at the Dog Festival, full stop. Free entry, presumably calmer, and you avoid the ticket step entirely.
• Check residency requirements before the two community-club events. Punggol Coast Halloween Yoga is confirmed residents-only; Fur-tastic Cats & Dogs Gathering isn't explicitly restricted but is worth a quick call to Nanyang CC regardless.
• October is genuinely light on cat programming. Only Fur-tastic Cats & Dogs Gathering explicitly welcomes cats this month; if you're a cat parent, the Singapore Cat Festival lands 7–8 November at Singapore Expo instead, just outside this window.
