Pet Events Singapore: The Complete Sept 2026 Pawrent's Calendar

August had 22 events fighting for your dog's attention. September calms down; ten events across four weekends, with the biggest cluster landing at Suntec over the 18–20th.

This isn't a copy-paste of every flyer we found. Each event below comes with an honest read on who it's actually for, and we've flagged the one or two listings where the date itself was in dispute, so you're not the one finding out at the door.

TL;DR - All 10 Events at a Glance

  1. SOSD Pet Grief Programme — 5 Sep, The Riverwalk
  2. Singapore Night Festival 2026 — continues to 5 Sep, Bras Basah.Bugis
  3. Walking Robot Dog Workshop — 9 Sep, Yuhua CC
  4. PAWsir Ris Furiends Day — 12 Sep, Pasir Ris
  5. Weekend Pawty — 12–13 Sep, Teban Gardens

Detailed Individual Events

1. SOSD Pet Grief Programme — Love, Beyond the Rainbow

SOSD Pet Grief Event
Source: SOSD

Where: 20 Upper Circular Road, #01-13, The Riverwalk
When: 5 Sep, 5pm–7pm
Admission: S$60 per participant; registration required

A 120-minute guided grief-support session for anyone who has lost a companion animal — dog, cat, rabbit, or otherwise — led by Nicole Chew-Helbig.

This opens the month on a quieter note than anything else on the list, and that's the point. If you're carrying a loss that hasn't had space to be spoken about, this is built specifically for that, not a general wellness workshop. Slots are kept small to keep the room intimate, so register ahead rather than deciding on the day.

2. Singapore Night Festival 2026 — final stretch

Source: Singapore Night Festival

Where: Bras Basah.Bugis precinct
When: Fri–Sat 7:30pm–midnight, Sun–Thu 7:30pm–11pm, through 5 Sep
Admission: Free for most programmes; pets welcome on leash, carried, or in a stroller

Carried over from our August guide, this is genuinely one for a crowd-confident dog only — pets are welcome outdoors across the precinct but not inside any buildings or museums along the route. If your dog hasn't already been out for one of the earlier nights, the closing weekend is going to be the busiest, not the calmest, so plan for that rather than assuming it'll quiet down as the run winds up.

3. Walking Robot Dog Workshop

Where: Yuhua Community Club, Blk 223A Jurong East St 21
When: 9 Sep, 10am–11:30am
Admission: S$15; suitable for ages ~8–12

Not a pet event in the usual sense (it's a STEM workshop where kids build their own walking robot dog) but it earns its place on a pet-adjacent calendar if you've got a child who's asking for a real dog and you want to test the waters with something mechanical first. No actual pets attend, so this is a standalone booking rather than something to combine with a dog walk.

4. PAWsir Ris Furiends Day

Where: 608A MPH, Elias Road, Pasir Ris
When: 12 Sep, 2pm–6pm
Admission: S$5 per person, includes a bandana and goodie bag for your pet

A community-scale carnival with agility challenges, a "Temptation Trail," adoption drives, and a run of scheduled talks — pet-protection trivia, a pet-floor and disinfection talk, and even a live animal-communication demo in the late afternoon. This is a genuine heartland event rather than a brand activation, so go in expecting community-club energy: friendly, a bit improvised, and better suited to a dog that's fine with kids and close quarters than one that needs space. Registration has previously closed about a week ahead of the date with limited slots, so don't leave sign-up to the last minute.

5. Weekend Pawty

Weekend Pawty
Source: BYD by JC

Where: BYD by JC showroom, 30 Teban Gardens Crescent
When: 12–13 Sep, 1pm–5pm daily
Admission: Free

As listed, it's a free, family-oriented pop-up inside a car showroom, with activities and rewards for pets. It's a low-effort, low-cost option for a unique Saturday afternoon rather than a destination event.

6. Common Rare Market

Common Rare Market
Source: Common Rare Market

Where: Suntec Convention Centre, Halls 401–402
When: 18–20 Sep, 12:30pm–9pm
Admission: From S$4 (Friday), S$5 (Saturday or Sunday); pets welcome on leash, in carriers, or strollers

Not built as a pet event, but explicitly pet-friendly; its first Singapore edition brings 200+ independent brands and 100+ overseas debuts across fashion, homeware, food and design, plus live music and workshops.

This is a genuinely busy, noisy indoor hall, so it suits a confident pet that's used to crowds rather than a first outing for a nervous one. Because it runs three full days, the smart move is a weekday-adjacent Friday session if your schedule allows it — Saturday and Sunday afternoons at a market this size will be the most congested stretch.

7. Whampoa Happy Pet's Day

Where: Whampoa Community Club, 300 Whampoa Drive
When: 19 Sep, 10am–4pm
Admission: Estimated S$5-$8 (unconfirmed)

A neighbourhood pet day with tasty treats, a merchandise market with games and family activities.

8. Not Another Pet Fair

Not Another Pet Fair
Source: Not Another Pet Fair

Where: Suntec Convention Centre, Hall 404
When: 19–20 Sep, 11am–7pm
Admission: Free of Charge. RSVP ticket, valid for entry and re-entry on both days.

A full-day retail-and-community fair for pets and their owners — pet essentials, new brands, and practical tips, running the same weekend as Common Rare Market next door and Whampoa Happy Pet's Day across town. If you're doing a Suntec double-header with Common Rare Market, note this one runs an hour earlier in the morning (11am vs 12:30pm), so it's the better first stop of the day.

9. SOSD 'Homebound' Community Screening

SOSD 'Homebound' Community Screening
Source: SOSD

Where: National Library Building
When: 19 Sep, 2pm/5pm Screening Session
Admission: Free; registration required due to limited seating

Two special community screenings of Homebound, SOSD's five-part short film anthology inspired by true stories of Singapore's rescue dogs, exploring love, loss and second chances. This runs the same day as both Whampoa Happy Pet's Day and Not Another Pet Fair, so it's genuinely a fourth option for that Saturday rather than a competing one, a good pick if you'd rather spend part of the day sitting down than walking a fairground. Optional donations and SOSD merchandise will be available on-site, supporting their rescue and rehoming work.

10. Nee Soon Pets Fiesta 2026

Where: Khatib @ MPC, in front of Blk 838 Yishun Street 81
When: 26 Sep, 10am–4pm
Admission: S$6

The month closes with its biggest community turnout — this event has historically drawn 3,000+ pet lovers, and 2026's edition is designed for dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters and birds alike, with DIY pet-doll sessions, community competitions, stage games and live performances. It's also the culmination of a lead-up series that included an August walkathon, so expect a genuinely built-up sense of occasion rather than a one-off pop-up. Given past turnout, arrive close to opening if you want to move through comfortably rather than fight the peak-afternoon crowd.

Final Advice

  • Suntec weekend (19–20 Sep) is the one to plan properly. Common Rare Market and Not Another Pet Fair run next door to each other, so a single day trip can cover both — just pace your dog for two halls, not one.
  • 19 September is genuinely a four-option day. Whampoa Happy Pet's Day, Not Another Pet Fair, Common Rare Market, and the SOSD screening all land on the same Saturday — pick based on your dog's energy level, not FOMO.
  • Verify Weekend Pawty before you go. It's the one listing on this page we couldn't cross-check independently — a quick look at the showroom's own page the week of is worth the two minutes.
  • Registration matters more this month than last. PAWsir Ris Furiends Day, the SOSD Pet Grief Programme, and the SOSD screening all cap capacity, these are not walk-in events!
  • Bring water, a collapsible bowl, and poop bags regardless of venue. A poop bag holder clipped to your leash beats digging through a tote bag mid-walk.
  • Double-check dates closer to the day. Community pet days are the most likely to shift; the ticketed Suntec fairs are the most reliably fixed.

FAQs

Which September 2026 pet event is best for a first-time visitor?
PAWsir Ris Furiends Day is the friendliest starting point — small enough to not be overwhelming, with a clear, scheduled programme. If you're new to pet events generally, our first-timer's guide is worth a read first.

Is Asia Cat Expo happening in September this year?
No — despite it appearing on some September listings, Asia Cat Expo 2026 already took place on 27–28 June at Suntec. We haven't found any evidence of a second September edition, so we've left it off this list.

Are all these events actually free?
Most have a small entry fee rather than being free — Whampoa Happy Pet's Day (S$8), Nee Soon Pets Fiesta (S$6), PAWsir Ris Furiends Day (S$5), Common Rare Market (S$4–5), and the SOSD Pet Grief Programme (S$60). Not Another Pet Fair is RSVP-ticketed. The Night Festival, the SOSD screening, and (as listed) Weekend Pawty are free.

Do I need to register in advance?
Yes for the SOSD Pet Grief Programme, the SOSD 'Homebound' screening, and PAWsir Ris Furiends Day (which has previously closed registration about a week ahead). The Suntec fairs are ticketed but typically allow walk-up purchase; the community pet days are largely walk-in.

What's the best event for a nervous or reactive dog?
PAWsir Ris Furiends Day or Whampoa Happy Pet's Day — both are neighbourhood-scale rather than expo-scale, which makes them easier to step away from if your dog needs a breather.

What's the best event for a cat owner specifically?
September is light on cat-specific programming compared to other months — Asia Cat Expo isn't back until its usual mid-year slot. Nee Soon Pets Fiesta is the most explicitly multi-species event this month, welcoming cats alongside dogs, rabbits, hamsters and birds.

Can I bring my pet to Singapore Night Festival?
Yes, but outdoors only;  pets are not allowed inside buildings or museums along the route, same as in August.

Disclaimer

Event details were checked against organiser pages and official listings at the time of writing. Dates, timings, fees, registration requirements, venue access and pet policies may change, so readers should confirm the latest information with the organiser before attending. Community events, markets and pop-ups in particular are the most likely to shift — Weekend Pawty carries lower confidence than the rest of this list, as it's the one listing we could only find on a single source and couldn't independently verify elsewhere; check the showroom's own channels before planning around it.
